  1. Change the separator flow to 20 SLM (from 7 SLM usually). See this page for instructions → How to control the Separator Return flow
  2. Wait for ~30 mins.
  3. Fully open the gate-valve bypass  (See → How to control the Fridge Return flow (GV and GV Bypass)):
  4. Open Run-valve to 3 turns (see  How to Open or Close Fridge Valves)
  5. Wait until the Ann-Plate Top resistor goes up to 1400 Ohm, which indicates that the liquid started accumulating.
  6. Wait until the nose LHe level reaches 100%.  It usually takes 15 minutes from the previous step.
  7. Wait until the Heat-Ex Bottom resistor goes down from 1400 Ohm and then up
  8. Fully, close the run-valve (see How to Open or Close Fridge Valves)
  9. Change the setting of the gate-valve bypass as follows (See → How to control the Fridge Return flow (GV and GV Bypass)):
    1. The set point for the auto control is 600 Torr.
Note: if you are setting this at the end of a production run, and want to take data for polarization decay constant (T1), then use 23 Torr instead. Check with the Target Expert regarding this, otherwise use 600 Torr.
    2. Ensure, the auto control on the pressure PID of the GV-Bypass VI The auto control is enabled.

    10. Set the separator flow to 10slm.
