Open the system at Safe Grounds (Opens in new window or tab) and log in with Netbadge and Duo.

After logging in, SafeGrounds will open on your Dashboard. Your Dashboard is a personalized page where your widgets will be displayed. A Widget is an organizational tool that was designed to support the workflow of specific offices, individuals, and response processes. Widgets are customizable and you can choose the widgets that are the most beneficial to your daily routines.
On the left side of the screen is the Main Menu and can be accessed from any screen while on SafeGrounds as it is your guide for the site. At the top should be your name and role within SafeGrounds.

The figure below is an example Dashboard. It is not an indication of how your Dashboard appears when first logging in.

This is the Main Menu and can be viewed and accessed from all pages

This button will allow you to expand or minimize the Main Menu

This is the search bar. See Searching for more information

These boxes are the widget tools. The + is used to add a widget and the wrench is used to edit a widget

These are examples of widgets that can be added to your dashboard

  1. Click on the + button (above, Figure 1 part 4) in the top right corner of your dashboard and select the widget that you wish to add.

  2. (a) If a pop-up does not appear: After selecting the widget, click the blue Connect button
    (b) If a pop-up appears: A pop-up will appear with fields that require selections. After making your preferred selections, click Save

  3. After adding one or more widgets to your dashboard, click the green Save button that has now appeared next to the widget tools.

  1. Click the wrench icon (above, Figure 1 part 4) in the top right corner of your dashboard.

  2. (a) Changing the size: Click and drag the arrow button in the bottom right corner of the widget box.
    (b) Rearranging/positioning: Click and drag the widget to a different location on your dashboard

  3. To edit a specific widget's preferences, click the wrench icon on the specific widget to edit and change your selections. Then click Save.

  4. Once finished with making changes, click Save and then Exit Edit Mode in the top right corner.

  1. Widgets have multiple columns identified by headers. Next to the headers, there are gray arrows. Click the header to sort the widget based on that column

  2. Click the up or down arrow to indicate how the information in that widget will be sorted (A-Z, Z-A, Newest to oldest, oldest to newest, etc.).

If in the My To-Do List Widget, you would like to sort by the Involved Party column, you would click the
column header and then click the arrows to indicate sorting from A-Z or Z-A.

  1. Users may use their widgets to quickly find information about cases that may be of interest to them.

  2. To search within a widget, use the search bar in the top left corner of that widget (if provided). You can
    search by any data field (column) in the widget

My To Do List: A running list of Actions that have been initiated but are incomplete

Team Member Cases: All cases, open or closed that you are a Team Member on

My Watchlist: Cases that you identify you want to keep an eye on; you can add a note to yourself about
why the case is on your Watchlist

Followed Profiles: Individual profiles that you have 'followed' you can add a note for yourself about
why you are following the student
