1. Check the magnet current. If it is not 74.51A, then go to step #2. If the current is 74.51A, then change it to 74A.

  2. On NMR Terminal, click "NMR Tune".
  3. Click the box next to the label "Baseline"; and a new window will be opened.
  4. Click "Create a new Baseline", then this new window will be automatically closed.
  5. Change the number of sweeps to 5000.
  6. Then Click "One Point" button, it will take about ~320 seconds for a 5000 sweeps baseline.
  7. Wait until the indicator (RED) goes to "Pause" after taking the baseline.
  8. Click "New Baseline" button (to select the baseline that you just took), then it will open a new window).

  9. Select the Baseline from drop-down list on the left (use the time-stamp to select the correct one), and press the "Selected Highlighted Baseline"; then the window will be closed automatically.
  10. Change the number of sweeps to 100.
  11. Click "Take Data".

If you want to create a new "event" file (for example: to take TE measurement), follow the steps on How to create a new event file on PDP

The following section explains the NMR terminal, polarization, and NMR Signal and how to take a new baseline and data.

How do we create a New Baseline?

Click on the Baseline in the above Green circled area, and it will pop up a new window like the one below:

Click on Create a new Baseline.  It will close this window and come to the Main Display. After that, follow the picture below to set the sweeps:

Insert 5000 at point 1 (Sweeps) and click at point 2 on 'One Point.' The baseline will be completed in around 324 seconds. You will see a new baseline at the bottom left of the above picture.
