When the fridge is in idle mode, it means that when we have nothing in the fridge (no target material), we do not need liquid in the fridge nose. In the Idle Mode, you will see the fridge parameters as follows: 

  1. Run and Bypass valves are closed. 
  2. Separator Flow set at 7slm 
  3. The GV bypass can be set at 8% or fully open (100%). It does not matter what the GV bypass opening is. 

You can see the Fridge Parameters on the Strip Charts Fridge 2x3 (fnal.gov):


  1. Status of Run and Bypass valves on CCP. 

Click on point 1, "Fridge Valve," in the above picture to open the VI. Points 2 and 3 show the Run and Bypass valve opening at 0.00 turns in the above picture. 


2. Status of Separator flow on CCP.


3. Status of GV bypass opening on CCP.

In the above picture, the GV bypass is fully open (100% & 0.25 turns).
