To start filling the Fridge with liquid helium while it is cold and has some liquid in it, which you can check from the fridge level probe or the fridge sensors, follow the steps.
- Make sure the Separator flow is set at 30 slm; if not, then follow the steps mentioned in the below picture:
In the above picture, click on point 1 THCD-401 to open the VI to control the separator flow. Manually change the value on point 2 in the Change S.P. To 20 and press Enter.
2. Wait for 30 minutes.
3. Make sure the GV bypass is open, if not change the setting of the gate-valve bypass as follows:
a. The auto control is disabled. or if it needs to be on auto control mode then leave it on auto control. If you are not sure check with Target Expert. If it needs to be on Auto Control with Pressure then skip the step b.
b. The absolute valve position is 0.25 turns (fully open) or check with Target Expert.
In the above picture, click on the GV Bypass on point 1 to open the VI to control the GV Bypass.
Click on Point 2 to disable the auto control with pressure. or leave it on Auto Control with pressure, please check with Target Expert.
If it needs to be on Auto Control with Pressure then skip the following step.
You can manually change the set point on point 3 by entering 0.25 and pressing Enter, or you can manually Change the set point on point 4 by entering 100 and pressing Enter.
4. Open the Run Valve at 3 turns.
In the above picture, click on point 1, Fridge Valve, to open the VI.
Insert manually the number of turns that you want to open the Run valve and press Enter.
5. Once, the liquid level reached at Heat-Ex Bottom or what level that you want to fill then fully close the Run valve by inserting 0 turns and press Enter.
