If the magnet is already in the "persistent mode", then the VI should look like the following picture.
Steps to move the magnet current from 74.51 A to 74 A
- Select the option "Up to 74.51 A at 0.5 A/m" from the "Presets" field.
- Press the "To Set" button and wait until the "Output current (A)" increases up to 74.51 A. It will take about 5 mins, and once the output current reaches 74.51 A, it will be automatically switched back to the "Hold".
- Press the toggle button next to the "Main Switch Heater" status indicator. Once you press it, then it will show a similar screen as shown below.
Once this process is completed, then the "PD Readings" will indicate ON (see the screenshot below). - Select the option "Down to 74 A at 0.5 A/m" from the Presets.
- Press "To Set".
Wait until the magnet current moves to 74 A, and it will go back to "Hold". - Now you can take the NMR baseline. Proceed with step #2 on How to take a baseline and then take data on UVA-NMR system
Steps to move the magnet current from 74 A to 74.51 A after taking the baseline
- Select the option "Up to 74.51 A at 0.5 A/m" from the "Presets" field.
- Press "To Set", and wait until the current goes up to 74.51 A and also it automatically switch to "Hold".
- Press the toggle button next to the "Main Switch Heater" status indicator. Once you press it, then it will show a similar screen as shown below.
Once it is completed, then "PD Reading" indicators will indicate "OFF". - Press "Hold" button and wait for a couple of seconds.
- Press "To Zero", and wait until the Shim current goes to Zero.
- It will go back to the "Hold" once the shim current is ramped-down.
- Now, you can continue NMR data taking.
