- Go to the Content Editor
- See the Explore the Content Editor guide for more information
- In the content box, click on where you would like to insert media
- The position of the cursor marks where the media will appear
- Click on the Add media icon
- See Explore the Content Editor to find the media icon
The "Select file" window will appear
- Click Choose File
A window of files on your computer will appear
- Select your file
Note: files must be less than 30 MB
Note: allowed file types are jpg, jpeg, gif, png, txt, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, pdf, ppt, pptx, pps, ppsx, odt, ods, odp, mp3, mov, mp4, m4a, m4v, mpeg, avi, ogg, oga, ogv, weba, webp , webm
- Click Open
Your file's name will appear in the "Upload" box
- Click Upload
A loading bar will appear
You will be able to click on the file's name once it is uploaded
- Click Next
Metadata fields will appear
- Fill in the metadata for your file
Scroll down to see all fields
- Click the "Display as" drop-down menu
Options will expand
- Choose how the file will be displayed
Note: files may display differently than they do in the Content Editor
- Click Submit
The media window will close
The media file will appear in the Content Editor
- Click Save
The "Edit book page" window will close
A message will appear confirming the update
