NMR and VI:

Leader: Devin

The NMR is used to measure the resonant EMF of the target. Labview VI's controls the components and readouts of the NMR.

Resources: UVA-NMR System Manual

Tasks include:

  • Create a debugging setup.
  • Better Documentation.
  • Characterization of the Q-Meters.
  • German Q-Meter.

Microwave, Magnet, and readouts:

Leader: Nisal

The microwave system is a 140 GHZ EIO tube that drives the polarization through the DNP effect. The Magnet provides the alignment and contains the fridge, which provides the cooling power to the target.

Resources: UVA CW Extended Interaction Oscillator (EIO)Oxford magnets

Tasks include:

  • Connect readouts.
  • Need a list of Readouts

Pump and cooling:

Leader: Sujan

The pump stack provides the high vacuum needed for the experiment.

Resources: good video for high vacuumMVP 070A 100LCIT-ALCATELpfeiffer Okta 500, turbovac-361cN0150

Task include:

  • The Middle Backing pump control needs repair.
  • Turbo needs a backing pump and sensor/readout.
  • Flow monitors and Flow controllers need to be installed.
  • NPT lower line needs to be planned and installed.
  • The exhaust line needs to be hooked up.
  • The pumps need to be bumped "Cycled on"
  • BackFill manifold needs to be created and planned.

Liquidfer and Helium supply:

Leader: Jay

The QT system is what liquefies the helium recovered from the root exhaust, magnet boil-off, and separator.

Resources:

Tasks include:

  • Connect the Recovery compressor to the Recovery line and Recovery Tank.
  • Install fittings on the Recovery Tank.
  • Install sensors according to the P&ID.
  • Install purifier and Supply Line.
  • Leak Check system.
  • Pump and Purge.
  • Pump Out system.
  • Order enough Helium.
  • Initial test of the system.

Target and insert:

Leader: Nuwan

The target is the core of the experiment and requires to be produced in the lab.

Resources:

Tasks include:

  • Find and purchase a Test Gas similar to NH3.
  • Produce a Stable Slug.
  • Produce wafers that are stable.
  • Repair the insert.
  • No labels
