Here are some of the topics each student working on as of August 2024. These topics will be updated on a timely basis:

Jay Daniels:

Nuwan Chaminda:

  • Sensitivity to target positioning, changes in packing fraction, materials
  • Sensitivity to average beam positioning in our asymmetry
  • Offline Polarization Analysis

Dima Watkins:

Devin Seay:

Sujan Subedi:

Nisal Vismith:

Apart from the above topics, the group as a whole is currently working on the following topics as of August 2024. These are also listed on "List of Tasks for SpinQuest Analysis":

  • First stage Drell-Yan asymmetry analysis (k/q-tracker)
  • QTracker:
    • Configure Q-Tracker for Offline analysis
    • QTracker Progress
    • Q-Tracker Online Monitoring
  • Study how to implement profile monitoring to improve (on/off-line) analysis
  • Detailed understanding of detector and tracking covariance matrix
  • System of skimming and sharing data from different parts of algorithm (Event filter, track finder,...)
  • Messy Events (MC) and Mixed Events (MC combinatorial) universalized
