Data Steward Engagement: Demos

If we cannot get to E2E testing by 11/15, would like to provide exposure demos to some of the data stewards, so we will need a significant number of the BPs and security roles complete.

SIS team to smoke/unit test on Friday 11/12 (to ensure we're ready for demos).

Teresa to prepare demo script (with Tracy): Focus on the user experience: request, approvals, FERPA training

Start the sessions on Wednesday, 11/17.

  1. Regression test 1) new data stewards, 2) General Roles Workflow, 3) All roles are loaded to ABO
  2. Confirm all roles and conditions match the exact data in the condition rules.  Michelle, Jacki, Kyle, Cheyrl, See the pdf of the bp to review -UVA-181. The pdf has all condition rules for SIS team to confirm.
  3. Prioritize issues as 'go-live critical'.
Identify E2E Tenant


  1. Which tenant?
    1. UVA3 is 'messy' and out of date.
    2. Do we need to coordinate with anyone else on UVA3?
  2. Refresh UVA3?
  3. UVA7 - last refreshed August 31.  
    1. Syed says we can use UVA7 - earliest refresh is January 2022
  4. Sandbox?  We only have a week.  Sandbox exemption is not ideal.
  5. Clean up UVA3 - Accenture to help?  
    1. Clean up the Pending requests.
    2. But - some of the data stewards might not be in there.
  6. Options:
    1. Refine Cutover Plan
    2. Migrate to UVA7
      1. What can we move to Prod early?
    3. Refresh UVA3 from prod.
      1. Coordinate refresh with Kelli and Syed
    4. After refresh, migrate to UVA3

        2. For testing - Karen will let Litao and Michael know which they are adding and will be removed (UVA CC Local Admin, UVA FTP)

          1. Add - condition rules don't exist in bp
          2. Update - review/update condition rules in bp
          3. Remove - review/update condition rules in bp
          4. Include J and Diane for KT - to apply the changes. 
          5. For initial development - communicate the handful of testing data with J, Diane, Michael.
