Data Steward Engagement: Demos

If we cannot get to E2E testing by 11/15, would like to provide exposure demos to some of the data stewards, so we will need a significant number of the BPs and security roles complete.

SIS team to smoke/unit test on Friday 11/12 (to ensure we're ready for demos).

Teresa to prepare demo script (with Tracy): Focus on the user experience: request, approvals, FERPA training

Start the sessions on Wednesday, 11/17.

Conduct E2E in a recently-refreshed version of Prod:

  1. 11/18-12/3 - Migrate to UVA7 (See Cutover Plan doc for steps)
  2. 12/6-12/8: Validate UVA7
  3. 12/11: Refresh UVA3 from Production
  4. 12/13 - Migrate from UVA7 to UVA3
    1. Confirm date to align with Extend Promotion (on Thursdays)
  5. Validate UVA3
  6. 1/8: Refresh UVA7
  7. 1/12: E2E Testing

        1. Need to unit test - adding and removing roles, etc.

          1. Add - condition rules don't exist in bp
          2. Update - review/update condition rules in bp
          3. Remove - review/update condition rules in bp
          4. Include J and Diane for KT - to apply the changes. 
          5. For initial development - communicate the handful of testing data with J, Diane, Michael.

      4. Sandbox?  We only have a week.  Sandbox exemption is not ideal.

        2. But - some of the data stewards might not be in there.
