If you want to browse the Subjects collection without entering a search query, follow the instructions below.

1. Go to subjects.shanti.virginia.edu
2. Click the search icon
   
   • Find this button below the main menuThis button is a magnifying glass in the top right corner of the page

   • The search

     menu

     window will expand

3. Leave the search field blank
4. Click the Tree Browse Subjects tab
5. Click + to expand a search result and click - to collapse a search result"Tibet and Himalayas"
   

   • A hierarchy of subjects will unfold

6. Click + and - to expand and collapse places
7. Click a subject from the resultsClick on a search result

   • The Knowledge Map Overview page will appear
