A Knowledge Map is a list of media related to a subject or place.

  1. Go to mandala.shanti.virginia.edu/subjects
    • The Subjects homepage will open
  2. Find a subject name
    Choose the subject you want to see in a Knowledge Map
  3. Find a list of related media in the left sidebar menu
    • Note that this list represents the subject's Knowledge Map
    • Note that the types and number of media in a Knowledge Map vary from subject to subject
  4. To view related media, click the menu items in the "Overview" sidebar menu
    • A window containing a list of media items related to the subject will appear
    • for that subject will open in the "Overview" tab
  5. Click the media types in the "Overview" sidebar menu
    • Related media types will open
  6. Click Subjects or Places in the "Overview" sidebar menu to explore related Knowledge Maps
    • Related assets Knowledge maps will open
    1. Hover over an asset
      • A tooltip will show a preview of the Knowledge Map
      • This tooltip may take a few seconds to load
    To view a related item's Knowledge Map, click or hover over it
    • Note that hovering only applies to related subjects and places
    1.  A pop-up menu will appear showing a subject or place's Knowledge Map
    2.  Click Full Entry to view its Knowledge Maps page
    3. Click the Full Entry button to go to the asset's Knowledge Map
      • The Knowledge Map will open in a new tab
