A Knowledge Map is a list of media related to a subject or place.

  1. Go to mandala.shanti.virginia.edu/subjects
    • The Subjects homepage will open
  2. Find Search a subject name
    Find the Knowledge Map
    • in the "Overview" tab
  3. Click the media types in sidebar menu
    • The media related to the subject will be listed here
    • Note that the types and number of assets in a Knowledge Map vary by subject
    Click a medium from the "Overview" sidebar menu to view assets in the Knowledge Map
    • Related
      assets in that medium will appear
      media types will open
  4. Click Subjects or Places in To view the Knowledge Map of a related subject or place, click Subjects or Places in the "Overview" sidebar menu to explore related Knowledge Maps
    • Related assets Knowledge maps will open
    1. Hover over an asset
      • A
        pop-up window will appear previewing the asset's Knowledge Map
        tooltip will show a preview of the Knowledge Map
      • This tooltip may take a few seconds Note that the pop-up window may take longer to load
    2. Click the Full  Full Entry button  button to go to the asset's Knowledge Map
      • The
        node page for that related asset will open in a new tab
    To view the
      • Knowledge Map
    of a related image, audio-video, text, or source, click a medium in the "Overview" sidebar menu
    The node page for that related asset
      • will open in a new tab
