Once you've embedded your  your Mandala collection in your Collab site, you can decide change its position in your site Tool Menu by following these steps.

You can also decide whether you'd like the site to open in Collab or to open in a new page. Because of the way Collab embeds websites, students will not be able to editor or add assets in your collection and (depending on your privacy settings) may not be able to view them unless they are logged into Mandala prior to accessing the collection in Collab. Because of this, it may be simpler top direct Collab to launch a new page when students click on your Mandala collection in the Tools Menu. From this page, they can easily log in and interact with the collection materials.

If you need your students to add assets, or if the collection is private in Mandala, check out the section below.

Open Collections in a New Window (For Private Collections)

In some cases, you may want the Mandala collection to open in a new page.

Use this option when people need to:

  • view a private collection, OR
  • edit or add collection assets

...

  1. Select your collection in the Tools Menu
  2. Click Edit
  3. Check the Open in new window? box at the bottom of the page
  4. Click the Click Update Options button

Follow the same steps to reverse the process if you decide you'd like Mandala to open in Collab (which may be desirable if your Mandala assets are public and you just want students to view them).

You can make the collection open in UVACollab again by unchecking the box.
