A Knowledge Map is a list of media related media to an individual a subject or place.

  1. Go to mandala.shanti.virginia.edu/subjects
    • The Subjects homepage will open
  2. Find Search a subject name
    • Learn more at Search how to search in Subjects or Browse browse in Subjects
    • You'll be taken to the subject's Knowledge Map page
    • The page for that subject will open in the "Overview" tab
  3. Click the media types Find the Knowledge Map in the "Overview" sidebar menu
  4. You'll see a list of related media
  5. Note that the types and number of assets in a Knowledge Map will vary by subject
  6. Click a menu item
    • For example, click Audio-Video to see the audio and video files related to the subject
    • Related assets will appear
  7. To explore a related asset's Knowledge Map, follow steps 5 and 6
  8. To view the Knowledge Map of a related subject or place:
    1.  Hover over the asset
      • A pop-up menu will appear previewing the asset's Knowledge Map
      • The pop-menu may take longer to load
    2. Click Full Entry to go to the item's Knowledge Map
      • The Knowledge Map will open in a new tab
    • Related media types will open
  9. Click Subjects or Places in the "Overview" sidebar menu to explore related Knowledge Maps
    • Related assets Knowledge maps will open
    1. Hover over an asset
      • A tooltip will show a preview of the Knowledge Map
      • This tooltip may take a few seconds to load
    2. Click the Full Entry button to go to the asset's

      • The Knowledge Map will open in a new tab
