  1. Ensure all piping in the cave, and cryo-platform are installed, tightened-well, and leak-checked.
  2. Ensure Warm helium circulations are performed:
    A) Separator (pressurize via backfill line) > Fridge (run/bypass) > Roots > Main Return > Magnet
    B) Separator (pressurize via backfill line) > Magnet > Magnet pump > Main Return > Separator
    C) gHe cylinder > Main Return Manifold > Magnet (pressurize via Magnet bypass) > Separator > Separator pump > Main Return Manifold
    D) gHe cylinder > Main Return Manifold > Magnet (pressurize via Magnet bypass) > Separator > Fridge (run/bypass) > Roots > Main Return Manifold
  3. Ensure all flow controllers, flow monitors are calibrated.
  4. Ensure remote control valves are working: Fridge run-bypass valves, Gate valve, Gate valve bypass, Magnet bypass.
  5. High flow test : pretending a fill, and regulate the pressure and flow to/from the magnet and to confirm the infrastructure is ready.
  6.  Check Standard flow in/out fridge, Standard flow in/out magnet under fill or regular operational modes
  7.  Integrated full flow through the system.

Magnet

  1. Pump and purge the IVC with gN2 (at least 5 times). Make sure the pop-off valve on the magnet IVC is closed after each pump-purge cycle, and leave it closed.
  2. There is a check valve at the flex hose connecting to the backing-pump, make sure it is removed (temporarily).
  3. Ensure the TPG361 (at the slow controls rack) is ON, and the IVC pressure can be read using the strip-charts.
  4. Turn ON the backing-pump at NM3.
  5. Once TPG361 reading shows < 1x10^(-2) Torr, then Turn ON the turbo pump on the DCU600 at the Slow Controls Rack.
DCU600 screen should show channels '309' and '315' on the left hand side and rotational speed is shown on the right hand side.
Ensure the rotational speed reaches its maximum (660 Hz), while the pressure reading on TPG361 drops down relatively fast.
  6. This will take about ~ 2 weeks to reach < 4x10^(-6) Torr.
