We need planning software to manage all target-related tasks toward the beam commissioning.  The software has to be able to

• Create tasks and subtasks with start date, end date and dependency, and
• Export the whole plan to the Google Calendar via calendar file (ics).

Microsoft Project

The cloud-based version (i.e. on web browser online) doesn't meed our need.  Thus we have to select Project Plan 3 (not 1) and use the desktop client ("Project App").

The free trial of Project Plan 3 has been set up as follows.

1. Register to Plan 3 using personal e-mail (not UVA one).
   1. Admin user = kenichi
   2. Domain name = MyWorkE1039.onmicrosoft.com — One domain has to be created per project.
   3. https://project.microsoft.com/MyWorkE1039.onmicrosoft.com/en
2. Add user to the domain.
   1. Visit "Microsoft 365 admin center":  https://admin.microsoft.com/adminportal/home?#/homepage
   2. Log in as the admin user of the project domain.
   3. Add user.  A one-time password is auto-generated.
3. Download Project App.
   1. Use your Windows computer ().
   2. Open Portal:  https://portal.office.com/account/?ref=MeControl#installs
   3. Click an icon for download.  The icon doesn't appear if you are using non-Windows computer.
4. Activate Project App.
   1. Launch Project App.
   2. Log in as the user of the project domain (not your personal e-mail).
