The ITS Team will be performing maintenance on Confluence beginning at 6:00 pm Tuesday, May 6. During this time the service may go offline. It should be available again by 8:00 pm. Please refrain from editing pages during this time to avoid losing your work.
You can add assets from other Mandala tools to the content of texts, and to any rich text field in Text. These fields include:
- The content of text sections or subsections
- Text descriptions
- Overviews of collections and subcollections
Click the
in the toolbar for these fields to access the importer. For more details, see the instructions below.- Create or edit a Texts collection or text section
- Learn more about adding collections, adding texts, and editing your text
- Find a rich text editor field
- Rich text editors include a toolbar and a large space for editing text
- "Descriptions" fields usually use rich text
- Place your cursor where you want to insert the Mandala asset
- Click on the
The "Add Mandala asset" window will open
Mandala icon in the toolbar - Switch the "Type" to the type of asset you want to add
- You can find the "Type" drop-down field in the top right corner
A list of assets will appear
- To use an asset you created, enter your computing id in the "Show only from user" field
A list of your assets will appear
- Use the other fields as needed to find the asset you want
- Click on the asset you want to add
The asset will turn green
You'll see an excerpt of the asset to the right
- Click Add item
The window will close
You'll see the asset in the editor
- Repeat this process to add more assets
- Save the text or collection when you're done
